Pokedex 019: Rattata is a speed lesson
Fast, fragile, and the clearest early example of why speed decides fights.
Role
A tempo unit. It goes first, which means it can land a status move or finish a weakened target before it gets hit.
Ceiling
Low. Use it to learn turn order, then move on.
