Pokedex 001: why Bulbasaur still earns a slot
The original grass starter is the cheapest early-game carry in the game, and it stays relevant longer than players expect.
Role
Bulbasaur is a sustain tank that happens to deal damage. Sleep powder and leech seed let it win long fights it has no business winning on raw stats.
Where it fits
Any team that needs a body to sit in front of a burst carry. It also clears the first three gyms almost alone.
